Several surprises and even a World Cup player: the moves that marked the closing of the First League transfer window

The First Division clubs made various moves during the transfer market for the second part of the season.

Among the main changes were the arrivals of Vozinha, who arrived in Chile after shining in the World Cup with Cape Verde, and Iván Román to Colo Colo, Igor Lichnovsky to U, Agustín García Basso to UC, and Damián Pizarro to Audax Italiano. Concepción and Limache were among the teams with the highest number of additions, while Huachipato did not register any signings. In O’Higgins, meanwhile, they signed Walter Bou, who had a stint at Boca Juniors and won the Sudamericana. He was already at La Calera in the past. Universidad de Concepción signed Rogelio Funes Mori at the last minute, the striker who defended Mexico in Qatar 2022.

The last moves were the arrivals of Lichnovsky to U and García Basso to UC. “For me, it is an emotional shock, obviously because I grew up in the team since I was a child. We will talk about football at the club,” indicated the Chilean defender who joins the blues.

“Everything is learning and gratitude to God because it happened. They are two and a half years that I have enjoyed a lot (at Racing). The departure was defined by mutual agreement, leaving a very large debt. Thank God UC appeared in my life. I made the decision to play for Católica and it is going to be the best for my career, my health and my environment,” said, for his part, the only reinforcement for Universidad Católica.
