SB19 brings Filipino energy to Summer Sonic 2026 day 1

P-pop powerhouse SB19 did not disappoint as they stunned the crowd with their historic performance on the first day of Summer Sonic 2026’s Osaka leg in Japan.
The quintet — consisting of Pablo, Stell, Josh, Felip and Justin — delivered a high-energy set on the Massive Stage in Osaka featuring their hits including “DAM,” “Lawless,” “Quit” and “Visa.” Clips of their performances were shared on SB19’s Instagram page on Friday, Aug. 14.
“We’re once again back here in one of our favorite countries, Japan! We’re honored and grateful to perform here at Summer Sonic Osaka,” Pablo told the audience, who then erupted in cheers.

SB19 is set to stage another performance on the music festival’s Pacific Stage in Tokyo on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Aside from their Summer Sonic stint, the group also delighted their fans, dubbed as A’TIN, after they teased an upcoming collaboration with Japanese singer-actor Kento Nakajima.
“Had Yakiniku together. Something might be in the works…,” SB19 wrote on its Instagram page, sharing a photo with Nakajima.

Prior to SB19, Filipino girl group BINI also performed on the first day of the international music festival. The latter will stage another performance at the festival’s Tokyo leg on Sunday, Aug. 16.
