KUALA LUMPUR: Ten credit reporting agencies in Malaysia have renewed their registration certificates for the 2026/2027 period, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

In a statement, the ministry said the renewals were completed under Section 14 of the Credit Reporting Agencies Act 2010 (Act 710).

"The certificates are valid for one year, from Sept 15, 2026, to Sept 14, 2027," it said.

The 10 agencies are CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd, Experian Information Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Credit Bureau Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Malaysia Sdn Bhd, FIS Data Reference Sdn Bhd, Omesti BI Sdn Bhd, CTOS Basis Sdn Bhd, MARC Data Sdn Bhd, Mydata Infomatica Sdn Bhd and One Future Solutions Sdn Bhd.

The MoF reminded the public that any party conducting credit reporting business without registering and obtaining a registration certificate from the Registrar Office of Credit Reporting Agencies commits an offence under Subsection 11(2) of the Act.

"Upon conviction, offenders may be fined up to RM1 million, jailed for up to three years, or both," it said.

The public can submit complaints, enquiries or suggestions related to credit reporting through the portal at https://ppapk.treasury.gov.my.
