Tanker struck by projectile in Strait of Hormuz, fire reported, UKMTO says

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Sunday it has received a report that an outbound tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was struck on the port side by an unknown projectile, causing a fire on board.

Crew were reported safe, UKMTO said, adding that damage assessment and environmental impact were unknown at time of report. —Reuters
