Tiny Ubiribo had five penis enlargement treatments before death — Thai clinic reveals

A cosmetic clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, has disclosed that Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo underwent five penis enlargement treatments at the facility before his death in March.

The 43-year-old died on 6 March, less than a day after undergoing his fifth penile filler procedure while on holiday in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Allen.

The disclosure emerged as Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health opened an investigation into the clinic following reports about the circumstances surrounding Mr Ubiribo’s death.

The ministry said Health Minister Pattana Promphat directed the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate the facility and establish whether it complied with the country’s medical standards.

Officials from the two agencies inspected the clinic, located on Rama I Road in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan district, on 7 September. Thai authorities have not publicly disclosed the name of the facility.

Five procedures

According to the DHSS, the clinic’s management told investigators that Mr Ubiribo had been a regular patient since 2024 and had undergone five penile enlargement procedures.

The clinic said the first four treatments were carried out between 2024 and 2025 before Mr Ubiribo returned for a fifth procedure on 5 March 2026.

During the final treatment, he received 40cc of filler.

The clinic further told investigators that the doctor recommended dividing the treatment into two sessions, but Mr Ubiribo requested a single session. (hcpr.hss.moph.go.th)

“The clinic’s management provided information stating that the patient had been a regular patient since 2024. The patient had received five injections to enlarge the male genitalia,” DHSS Director-General Phuwadet Surakot said.

“The doctor recommended dividing the injection into two sessions, but the patient preferred a single injection.”

Mr Surakot said the clinic also told investigators that Mr Ubiribo received aftercare instructions following each procedure and that staff followed up on his condition.

According to the clinic, he had not reported any problems after his previous treatments and had signed consent forms before undergoing each procedure.

Investigation

The Thai health authorities said officials inspected the clinic’s standards and began gathering evidence following the management’s account.

The DHSS said the findings would be forwarded to Thailand’s Medical Council to determine whether professional practice standards were followed.

“We will gather all facts and evidence to proceed according to our authority and submit the case to the Medical Council for a ruling on professional practice standards, to ensure fairness to all parties,” the department said.

Thai police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding Mr Ubiribo’s death, according to AFP.

Thai authorities have not announced any findings of professional misconduct or malpractice against the clinic or its medical personnel.

Final hours

Mr Ubiribo underwent his fifth filler treatment on 5 March.

According to the Thai Ministry of Public Health, his wife subsequently told medical personnel that he had received filler injections earlier that day and went for a massage afterwards.

He later lost consciousness and was taken to a private hospital in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit area.

Doctors suspected an embolism and prepared to conduct a CT angiography, but Mr Ubiribo became unconscious and had no pulse before the examination could be carried out.

Medical personnel attempted to resuscitate him but were unsuccessful.

Inquest records from Westminster Coroner’s Court show that he was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. on 6 March after 101 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

A post-mortem examination and toxicology investigation subsequently determined that his death resulted from a pulmonary embolism associated with the hyaluronic acid injection used during the procedure.

Mr Ubiribo had more than 180,000 followers on Instagram, where he documented his travels and lifestyle.

He was also known within Nigerian entertainment circles and had a longstanding friendship with Afrobeats star Davido.

In 2023, PREMIUM TIMES reported that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) declared Mr Ubiribo and his wife wanted alongside Rivers State-based famous prophetess and founder of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, Faith Ugochi.

The anti-drug agency declared them wanted on allegations of recruiting teenagers into drug trafficking while acting as contact points for an international syndicate operating from Los Angeles in the USA.

His final Instagram post featured photographs with the singer, whom he described as his “little brother.”

Mr Ubiribo was later buried in London following his death in March.
