Nearly nine out of 10, or 89% of Filipinos are interested in the May 2028 national and local elections, the latest survey from Pulse Asia showed.
Of this figure, 57% are truly interested, while 31% are somewhat interested in the said elections, according to the results of the Ulat ng Bayan national survey on the May 2028 elections conducted by Pulse Asia from September 17 to 24, 2026.
Seven percent meanwhile cannot say whether they are interested or not, while 4% are disinterested — 3% somewhat disinterested, and 1% truly disinterested, the survey showed.
The 2028 national and local elections will be held on May 8, less than two years away from the time the survey was conducted.
The Commission on Elections said earlier this year that the 2028 elections will push through.

In the National Capital Region (NCR), 87% are interested in the May 2028 elections, comprised of 57% truly interested and 31% somewhat interested.
The figures are almost the same in Balance Luzon (the rest of Luzon excluding NCR) and Visayas. In Balance Luzon, 85% of respondents are interested, while 89% are interested in Visayas.
In Mindanao, however, 97% of respondents said they are interested in the May 2028 elections, with 82% truly interested and 15% somewhat interested.
