The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened applications for prospective parliamentary candidates seeking to contest its parliamentary primaries ahead of the 2028 General Elections.

In a press release issued on Sunday, November 1, interested aspirants have been invited to formally declare their intention to participate in the internal elections, which will determine the party’s parliamentary candidates for the next general elections.

The application period runs from November 1 to November 10, 2026, giving prospective candidates 10 days to complete the application process.

The party has set an application fee of GH¢5,000 for all interested applicants.

Under the slogan, “Your journey to Parliament begins with preparation,” the party says the process is intended to enable interested members to formally express their readiness to contest its parliamentary primaries.
