Prosec drops all but unexplained wealth charge vs Duterte
MANILA, Philippines – The House Prosecution panel on Tuesday said it would dispense with impeachment Articles IV and I, referring to Vice President Sara Duterte’s alleged grave threats and confidential funds.
This leaves the prosecution with only Article II, Duterte’s supposed unexplained wealth, for its formal offer of exhibits.
“It will no longer pursue three of them… It will stand on one – and that is Article II on unexplained wealth,” Lead Prosecutor Rep. Gerville Luistro told the court.
