St Kilda stalwart Stokehouse announces changes. Here’s what’s coming very soon

Translate

Andrew McConnell’s Trader House restaurant group has revealed the first of its changes at St Kilda dining icon, Stokehouse.

From October 26, Marea Beach House and Bar will be open for business in the downstairs restaurant that was Stokehouse Pasta & Bar, which has now closed. Marea will serve dishes inspired by coastal southern European regions, including raw tuna tostada and fritto misto.

Upstairs, Stokehouse restaurant proper will keep its name but interiors are being refreshed by design firm ACME, also responsible for Gimlet and Apollo Inn in the group’s portfolio. The venue closes on October 18 and will reopen on November 3.

Over summer the kiosk will trade as Ultramarinos bar with gelato shop Pidapipo on board, serving gelato, granita and cocktails.
