Lifetime’s Brie Miranda Bryant Exits With First-Look Deal

EXCLUSIVE: Brie Miranda Bryant, who has been at Lifetime for over nine years, is leaving the network.

Bryant, who was SVP, Original Programming at Lifetime, exits A+E Global Media with a first-look deal.

Her departure means that Lifetime has no senior executives overseeing unscripted across the network, coming a year after it laid off the majority of its non-scripted team. Deadline understands that she will not be replaced.

The move comes as Lifetime cements its focus on the television movie business.

Bryant’s deal with A+E Global Media covers scripted and factual developments and her first project under the deal sees her join the executive producing team behind Christmas: Married and Bright, the sequel to Brandy Norwood’s 2025 holiday movie.

Bryant joined A+E Global Media in 2017, having been at BET Networks and NBCUniversal before that.

She was behind series including Surviving R. Kelly, Janet Jackson, TLC Forever and The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson. She also oversaw The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, I Am Octomom and The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.

Twelve months ago, the layoffs included VP, Programming and Development Nicole Vogel, coming a year after it cut figures including Amy Savitsky, Kim Chesller and Cat Rodriguez.
