Tyler Posey to Guest Star in NBC Cop Family Drama ‘Line of Fire’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Tyler Posey is set for a multi-episode guest star arc on the upcoming NBC dram “Line of Fire,” Variety has learned exclusively.

The series premiered on NBC on Sept. 21, with Posey set to make his first appearance in the fifth episode airing on Oct. 19.

The logline for the show states, “A family of law enforcement agents bridges personal differences and crosses professional boundaries as they tackle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service and Department of Justice. After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code.”

The cast of the series includes Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett.

Posey guest stars as Brandon Hayes, described as a “handsome NSA agent who lights up a room. He served overseas as a Marine, where he developed a close friendship with Russell Hollingsworth (Bloom).”

Posey is best known for his starring role in the hit MTV drama “Teen Wolf,” in which he played the lead part from 2011-2017. His other TV roles include “Now Apocalypse,” “Jane the Virgin,” “Scream: Resurrection,” and “Fast & Furious Spy Racers.” In film, Posey has starred in features like “Queen of the Ring,” “Teen Wolf: The Movie,” “The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie,” and “The Last Summer.”

He is repped by Independent Artist Group and Luber Roklin Entertainment.

“Line of Fire” hails from creator Joshua Safran, who executive produces along with Jenna Bush Hager and Ben Spector. Universal Television is the studio.

Variety TV critic Aramide Tinubu praised “Line of Fire” in her review, saying the show “has all the makings of becoming a classic in the canon of beloved police procedurals.”

“Boasting intense family dynamics and several truly intriguing cases, ‘Line of Fire’ has a depth, intensity and a hint of soapiness that works perfectly within the genre,” she wrote.
