7 Coronation Street spoilers next week: Eva Price in grave danger and Christina Boyd has emotional dark secret

There's fresh drama for Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) in Coronation Street next week.

Deciding to close the Rovers due to ill health and a lack of staff, she takes a tumble down the cellar stairs and is found unconscious by Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney). But was she pushed, or was the incident purely accidental?

Meanwhile, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) confides in partner George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) about a long-buried secret, and Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) ends up in the firing line following an argument with Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin).

Elsewhere, there's troubling times for Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) struggles to hide his stage three breast cancer diagnosis.

Here's everything happening in the episodes of Coronation Street airing between Monday 21 and Friday 25 September.

1. Kit Green struggles as Bernie Winter-Alahan receives her test results

Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and Kit accompany Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove) to her appointment, where she remains convinced that the test results will bring good news. Her certainty proves too much for Kit, who loses his temper before storming away.

Bernie soon catches up with him and gives him a piece of her mind, accusing Kit of being unnecessarily negative. With his own diagnosis still secret, will he finally find the courage to tell Bernie the truth?

Later in the week, things take another turn at the police station when Kit loses his temper with a suspect, forcing Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) to intervene. She subsequently orders her colleague to take the rest of the day off and get himself together.

If he can't control his behaviour, she warns, his career could be on the line.

2. Ronnie Bailey tells Carl Webster to leave

When Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) complains about the man currently working the switch, Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) spots an opportunity and offers to help out. Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) looks on as the men shake hands and agree to a trial shift.

Meanwhile, the pub quiz is well underway and Debbie is proving to be a formidable contender, particularly when the questions turn to the 1980s. Ronnie can't hide his smile, knowing that Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) has quietly arranged things in Debbie's favour.

Leaving the pub on a high, Debbie's good mood doesn't last long. She overhears Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield) running Carl down to Kevin and is immediately upset by what she hears.

Later, back at the flat, she receives another huge shock. A young woman emerges from Carl's bedroom, followed moments later by a half-dressed Carl. The girl introduces herself as Kylie, prompting Debbie to make the assumption that she's Kylie Minogue.

The following day, Carl's new job at Street Cars gets underway, but Ronnie makes his expectations crystal clear. Once he receives his first wage packet, he has to find somewhere else to live.

3. Lucy Parkinson lashes out at Sally Metcalfe

Lucy pretends that she's feeling unwell in an apparent attempt to avoid Sally's company - but matters take an even more troubling turn.

Sally takes a look at Lucy's latest art project, and becomes concerned by what she sees: a drawing of an angry woman clutching her head. When asked whether the picture is supposed to represent her mum, tempers suddenly flare and she lashes out.

Later, Sally later shows husband Tim (Joe Duttine) the artwork and explains what happened, leaving both of them increasingly concerned about the teen's behaviour. Lucy apologises to Tim, and he is quickly persuaded that she regrets her actions.

The Metcalfes are left wondering whether they're equipped to cope with Lucy's increasingly difficult behaviour and wonder whether she needs professional help.

Joanie Michaelis (Savanna Pennington) subsequently makes a pointed remark about the bruise on Sally's face. Lucy apologises once again and gives Sally a hug, telling her that she reminds her of her mum.

There seems to be a breakthrough with the couple's foster daughters, as Shanice Michaelis (Molly Kilduff) spots Lucy writing in her grief journal and tells her that she hopes she starts to feel happier soon. Lucy is touched by Shanice's kindness.

Sally and Tim are reassured by the thought that Lucy is spending more time with Shanice, believing the friendship could be a positive influence.

But their relief doesn't last. Ronnie eventually has to escort a tipsy Lucy back to No.4, leaving Sally and Tim far from impressed.

4. Glenda Shuttleworth feuds with Maggie Driscoll

Glenda takes charge of a pub quiz in an effort to raise money for Debbie's dementia choir. On the same evening, Susie Price (Aurora Bradshaw) manages to persuade a reluctant Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) and Eva to let her drama teacher upload her singing video to the Little Big Shotz website.

Maggie Driscoll ( is distinctly unimpressed by the idea, but Glenda refuses to take her criticism lying down.

Later, Glenda rounds on her boss and accuses her of deliberately trying to sabotage the Little Big Shotz club.

5. Christina Boyd is hiding a major secret

Christina is thrilled when George rewards her hard work by promoting her to assistant funeral director. Her celebrations are somewhat dampened when Bernie fails to turn up for the drinks, leaving her pondering the significance of Bernie's family situation.

George's blunt assertion that having children is nothing but a source of worry gives Christina plenty to think about.

Later, at the undertakers, Christina takes the opportunity to learn more about her new role as George talks Tim and Lucy through the different plaque options for the youngster's mum.

Keen to absorb as much information as possible, Christina watches George closely and learns how to access Rachel Parkinson's file on the computer. But when he explains that Rachel is Lucy's mother, she's quietly horrified by the discovery and abruptly leaves.

At the end of the week, Christina decides to confide in George. He listens without judging and reassures her that she doesn't have to deal with everything alone, promising that she'll always have a shoulder to cry on.

6. Sam Blakeman is a cause for concern

There's a buzz around the Rovers when Susie receives an invitation to audition for a role in a musical after a casting director spots her video. The adults dutifully gather to listen as she performs her audition piece, but Sam is more interested in playing on his phone.

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) eventually tells him to put the phone away and Sam's reaction isn't good.

Later, the teen returns from school visibly agitated and immediately demands that his dad give him his phone back. Nick and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) are taken aback by the intensity of his reaction.

Sam retreats into the Bistro office, where his frustration boils over and he hurls a stapler against the wall.

He rushes out, and as Nick and Toyah search for him, a confused Debbie approaches and asks whether he's seen Carl. Sam directs her towards the Rovers.

7. Eva Price is found unconscious in the Rovers cellar

Eva is suffering from a heavy cold but still manages to see Susie and Ben off as they head to London for the audition. Nick and Sam subsequently drop by to retrieve the teen's phone, only for everyone to realise that nobody can remember where it has been left.

As Eva continues to make the most of her illness, Glenda's patience finally runs out and she walks away. Feeling increasingly dreadful, Eva makes the decision to close the pub.

But when she hears a noise coming from downstairs, she's left wondering whether someone else is in the building.

Later, Debbie surveys the deserted pub and is horrified to discover the landlady lying unconscious at the bottom of the cellar steps. She rushes outside in search of help, but becomes confused in the aftermath of what she's seen.

It is only when Glenda discovers Eva that an ambulance is finally called. Ronnie tells Debbie that an ambulance has arrived at the pub, prompting a sudden and horrifying realisation - Debbie remembers seeing Eva at the bottom of the stairs.

As paramedics lift Eva to safety, the questions begin.

Will Eva recover? And, most importantly, did she fall, or was she pushed?
