Nurul Izzah pays tribute to late uncle 'Uncle Ros'

KUALA LUMPUR: Nurul Izzah Anwar has paid tribute to her late uncle, Idrus Ibrahim, fondly known as "Uncle Ros", describing him as a big-hearted man who embraced everyone with warmth and affection.

In a Facebook post, the eldest daughter of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Uncle Ros was a teacher and a cherished figure in her family.

"Uncle was a person of great spirit and boundless love, who always treated everyone with warmth and a sense of kinship," she said.

Nurul Izzah said Cheruk To' Kun and Jalan Kilang Ubi would no longer feel the same following his passing.

She said the kindness, sacrifices, contributions and love he had shown towards her father, their family and "the struggle" would, God willing, continue as accepted deeds before Allah.

She also extended her prayers to Uncle Ros' widow, Aunty Dah, his children and the rest of the family, praying that Allah would grant them strength, patience and resilience in facing the loss.

"With His grace, we shall all meet again in Jannatul Firdaus in the future. Insya-Allah.
