Farhash heads Kelantan Sultan's birthday honours list

KOTA BARU: Businessman Datuk Seri Farhash Wafa Salvador heads a list of 779 people who have been conferred state awards and titles in conjunction with the 57th birthday of the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, today.

The Apex Equity Berhad chairman was the sole recipient of the Darjah Pahlawan Yang Amat Gagah Perkasa (PYGP).

Kelantan State Secretary Datuk Dr Tengku Mohamed Faziharudean Tengku Feissal said Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan was bestowed the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SJMK), which carries the title of Datuk.

He said the awards were presented by Sultan Muhammad V at an investiture ceremony held at Istana Balai Besar, with 44 people receiving the title of Datuk.

He added that others conferred the Datuk title were Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who was bestowed the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SJMK), and Sentosa Jaya Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Razali Daud.

He said three people were bestowed the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Kesateria Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Perkasa (SPKK) and Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (SPSK), which also carry the title of Datuk.

The three were Armed Forces chief General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman, Army chief General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman and Finance Ministry Deputy Secretary General of Treasury (Management) Datuk Sri Ab Rahim Ab Rahman.

Tengku Mohamed Faziharudean said 13 people were bestowed the Ahli Yang Kedua (Dato Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DJMK), which carries the title of Datuk.

They include Konsortium E-Mutiara Berhad executive chairman Che Ibrahim Che Ismail, Honorary Consul of The Gambia to Malaysia Tengku Shamsulbhari Tengku Azman Shah, Chetok assemblyman Zuraidin Abdullah and Kelantan Pas Muslimat secretary Wan Ubaidah Omar.

Six were bestowed the Ahli Yang Kedua (Dato Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Kesateria Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Perkasa (DPKK), while 16 were conferred the Ahli Yang Kedua (Dato Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (DPSK), with both awards carrying the title of Datuk.

Tengku Mohamed Faziharudean said Bukit Aman deputy director for Special Branch E1 Datuk Mohd Hairuddin Che Hamid was bestowed the Ahli Yang Kedua (Dato Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jasa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Setia (DPJK).

In addition, 12 were appointed Justices of Peace (JP).

Tengku Mohamed Faziharudean said the investiture ceremony began at 10am, with today's session involving 133 people.

The remaining honourees will receive their awards and medals early next year.
