Jennifer Lawrence Reacts to Being Connor Wood's Celeb Crush

Kourtney Kardashian Reacts to Jennifer Lawrence Calling Her "More Annoying Than Ever"
The odds are in Connor Wood’s favor—at least when it comes to getting Jennifer Lawrence’s attention.
After the Dancing With the Stars contestant publicly named the Hunger Games actress as his celebrity crush, Wood’s wish was inadvertently ranted.
“I just want just a little acknowledgment from Jennifer Lawrence that I’m funny,” the comedian shared during an Oct. 20 interview with BuzzFeed Celeb alongside his DWTS partner Rylee Arnold. “That’s all I need.”
Well, after fans in the comments section of the video volunteered as tribute, the Oscar winner waltzed right over and made her mark.
“I saw you on 8th avenue drinking a smoothie,” Lawrence commented in response on Instagram, “and you paid me no mind.”
And while Wood had asked for the Die My Love actress to respond, Lawrence’s reaction had him on the floor—literally.
Indeed, Wood’s dance partner Arnold documented the moment he finally saw her comment.
“Connor, what just happened?” the professional dancer asked Wood, who was lying face down on the floor during their rehearsal, in an Oct. 21 TikTok. “No. Uh-uh, no way. What?!”
And though Wood may have been in shock, Arnold knew there was no dancing around how he felt.
“Are you gonna cry?” she asked. “Don’t be upset, she’s doing that to be funny. She’s saying that to be funny. But she knew who you were when she saw you!”
Realizing that he simply didn’t see Lawrence in the wild, Wood jokingly crouched over and pretended to choke himself.

“You get in the zone when you eat smoothies,” Arnold suggested to her partner, who replied, “I’m just always staring off, you know? Oh my God.”
But the podcaster still couldn’t quickstep around the idea of possibility. As he admitted, “This is rolling around in my head.”
And Wood seemingly realized he had to let it go, for now.
However, that same day, the stand-up comic shared a screenshot of Lawrence’s comment on his Instagram Stories Oct. 21, featuring an audio of daily affirmations for mental health about “letting go of the past and embracing the present moment.”
Alongside his post, Wood joked, “Going to bed.”

"I have a vision board and I redo it every year," she told E! News in May. "This year is the first year that I stayed at home by myself on New Year's Eve. I did not go out at all. I made myself a bowl of pasta and a glass of red wine and I redid my vision board for the year. Dancing With the Stars was already on it from the year before. However, I added five more Dancing With the Stars on the board."
