Milan swooped in for RC Strasbourg winger Diego Moreira, seemingly agreeing a deal out of nowhere worth around €50m, and multiple sources suggest agent Jorge Mendes was pulling the strings.
This is the second time that the Rossoneri have practically agreed terms with a club with barely any previous suggestion in the media of interest, let alone negotiations.
Mendes engineered Moreira for Milan

Just like Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain, it seems to have been done very quickly and with no haggling over the price, certainly compared to what we’ve seen from teams like Inter, Roma and Juventus this summer.
That can lead to perhaps over-paying, but it does get the deal over the line fast and with minimal fuss.

Moreira had been targeted by Roma and RB Leipzig, but it’s reported Milan shook hands for anything from €45-50m guaranteed, plus add-ons and a 10 per cent cut of the future sale.
The total cost is expected to be at least €53m.
Multiple sources point once again to the hand of agent Jorge Mendes, who has long-standing links with the San Siro side.
They include Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Calciomercato and MilanNews, all of whom acknowledge his key hand in the negotiations.
Some have also pointed to a clue sent by Moreira when training on vacation, as he published a video of himself working out wearing fellow Belgium international Alexis Saelemaekers’ Milan jersey two weeks ago.
