While the series is in this transitional phase, the wider Whoniverse remains very active, with one of the franchise's biggest developments right now revolving around the Fugitive Doctor. And come December, fans will have even more to look forward to with a new release centered on this incarnation.

The event initially launched on the in-universe UNIT website on June 25, 2026, and is still ongoing, with the final installment, a Big Finish audio finale titled Full Circuit, set to release on September 22. Among the event’s many multi-platform releases, one of the most notable was its comic portion, which kicked off on July 8, 2026, with Titan Comics’ Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker – Adversary of the Daleks before continuing on August 4 with Dawn of the Daleks.
While both issues are now available to read, Titan Comics has announced that, on December 2, 2026, fans will be able to experience these two tales together with the upcoming release of Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker TP.

Overall, the Circuit Breaker event follows the Fugitive Doctor as she is forced to team up with Osgood and Martha Jones after strange artifacts begin appearing in UNIT’s Black Archive, triggering destabilization across reality. However, when it comes to the comic side of the event, the two stories specifically focus on the Fugitive Doctor and her encounters with the franchise-defining adversary, the Daleks.
The first installment, Adversary of the Daleks, follows the Fugitive Doctor and Osgood to Thessaloniki in Ancient Greece, where they find themselves entangled with the Daleks. Meanwhile, the second installment, Dawn of the Daleks, sees the Doctor travel to the war-ravaged world of Skaro, where she battles the Daleks. Both Adversary of the Daleks and Dawn of the Daleks are great additions to the Fugitive Doctor’s story, and come December, fans will soon be able to own both stories in a single volume.
Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker TP will deliver an optimal reading experience for fans by collecting Dan Watters, Dulce Montoya, Sami Kivelä, and Valentina Bianconi’s Adversary of the Daleks and Dawn of the Daleks in a single trade paperback. This trade will be 112 pages and will be available for $17.99 upon its December release.

You’ll then want to follow this up with the Adversary of the Daleks comic. Next, you’ll dive into The Honourable Society (Doctor Who Magazine #632), The Deadliest Weapon (BBC Audiobooks), and then Watters’ Dawn of the Daleks.
You’ll then want to move on to Castling (East Side Games) before returning to the UNIT website for “Don’t Blink,” then The Doctor and the Three Witches (Puffin novel), Moment Mori (East Side Games), and The Black Archive Files (Blu-ray release). You’ll then want to wrap up with Jo Martin’s novel The Kaleidoscope and the Big Finish audio finale, Full Circuit, on September 22.
