Home and Away star Courtney Miller shares heartfelt announcement as she gets engaged

Courtney Miller received a warm reception from her former Home and Away castmates when she broke the news of her engagement on Instagram.
Miller played Bella Nixon on the soap from 2018 to 2023; the younger half-sister of Colby Thorne, Bella was taken away by her abusive father, Ross Nixon, and treated practically as his property. Colby had spent years in search of her without success.
Posting a photo of herself being proposed to by musician Jake Finnane against a scenic backdrop, Miller wrote: "Always be ready, except when you're wearing wellies. If you're wearing wellies, youre already done for."

She dated the engagement to 31 October.
"I'm sweating post this," Miller continued. "I met this man when I was 16 in a school musical, i fell in love with his unco dancing body and beautiful singing voice. We dated. It was the time of my life. He broke up with me a week later. D***.
"We became life long friends, sharing our beautiful @john.e888 and @corinneell together. Laughed together, talked through life together... hated eachother for awhile.
"I then suddenly told him I was in love with him after coming back from London. He was dumbfounded. For awhile. And then, well, he fell MADLY IN LOVE WITH ME!! #girlsaresmarterthanboys.
"To the rest of life with you my love. F*** that's a long time. Ps. The kitchen needs cleaning."
Her comments were flooded with congratulations from fellow Home and Away alumni, including Emily Symons, Georgie Parker, Lynne McGranger, and Lukas Radovich.
"How wonderful, congratulations darling," wrote Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers.
Georgie Parker, who plays Roo Stewart, added: "Sweetheart, so SO happy for you darling. CONGRATULATIONS."
"Beautiful Court! My Covid (sneaky) walking buddy," wrote Lynne McGranger, who played Irene Roberts from 1991 to 2025. "So very happy for you. Wishing you a looonnggg lifetime together laughing, loving, being goofy and working on his dance moves. Love you so much!"
