The Witcher X Cyberpunk 2077 Crossover Officially Confirmed

Jared's first console was the PS1, wherein he fell for Spider-Man, Spyro the Dragon, and Crash Bandicoot.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered is off to a bit of a rocky start. For instance, the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster’s visuals have been compared to those of the Complete edition, with many fans believing the former version of the game (which the remaster now overwrites) looked better and ran better.
Thankfully, fans are finding workarounds and ways to toy with the settings in order to achieve better graphical consistency as they hop back into CD Projekt Red’s beloved fantasy action-RPG. Even players who’ve played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for thousands of hours may have a good excuse to revisit the game for everything that’s offered in this remaster, and there’s plenty of bonus crossover content you won’t want to miss out on as well.
Per X, it was recently shared that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered players can unlock for themselves exclusive cosmetic items: the Wolf Bandana and the Rabble-Rouser hairstyle. To do so, players must follow a simple set of instructions:
- Connect to a CD Projekt Red account
- Own Cyberpunk 2077
- Own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered
And that’s it, really. The only actual impediment here is that not every player might bother to create/link a CD Projekt Red account or connect to it, and whether or not they ultimately choose to do so will likely come down to how much they like either of these new cosmetic items.
The new hairstyle, in particular, might be fun to add to players’ collections, though the portrait used to depict it in this social media post doesn’t do it much justice. The side profile is far more interesting, revealing that his white crow’s nest of hair is equally raggedy in the back, and the sides are shaved to reveal red scars.
Assuming these cosmetics are truly Cyberpunk 2077-inspired, it’s possible that the choice of gold for the Wolf Bandana is meant to resemble Cyberpunk 2077’s yellow theme, while the red scarring on Geralt’s head in the Rabble-Rouser hairstyle might suggest that the White Wolf has indulged in cyberware. Either way, it’ll be neat to see what other collaborations grace the Witcher and Cyberpunk IPs as both skyrocket in popularity and have highly anticipated sequels in development.
These and other rewards/digital goodies are a fun way to celebrate the launch of The Witcher 3 Remastered, but it’s the game itself and the enhancements it brings that are the star of the show, of course. The future of CD Projekt Red’s Witcher franchise is looking remarkably bright, and fans should realistically have no reason not to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and its two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, before its upcoming third expansion, Songs of the Past, launches sometime in 2027.
