Director Nitesh Tiwari has addressed speculation surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in his two-part epic ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’. Amid rumours that the makers used AI technology to dub their film in multiple languages, the director has now set the record straight, ahead of the film's international debut.Speaking at the film’s world premiere in Los Angeles, director Tiwari explained the use of AI in the film and assured that it was only used to help international audiences experience the film in their native languages. He said, “As far as AI is concerned, it's only being used to lip sync, so that we can present the film to the world in their language. All the voices are dubbed by the artists. AI has only been used to get the lip movement right, so that the audience can enjoy it in their native language.

No Ai has been used in dubbing, Voice is dubbed by real artists only, AI is being used to Lip Sync.”

The clarification comes amid growing discussions about the use of AI in the film, with some alleging its use in areas involving performances, dubbing and visual effects. His clarification also comes just as the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-starrer gears up for its worldwide theatrical release on November 5.‘Ramayana’ overseas advance bookings cross USD 2.58 millionAs per early box office reports, ‘Ramayana’ has recorded USD 2.58 million in overseas advance bookings across five countries, with the combined pre-sales as on October 28.
