Nigeria at 66: Celebrating Development and Nation-Building
A NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPOTLIGHT ON PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR
As Nigeria marks 66 years of nationhood, attention turns to the housing, infrastructure, urban renewal and homeownership initiatives advanced across the country under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Since the beginning of the administration, development activity has extended across housing delivery, major highways, road reconstruction and rehabilitation, urban infrastructure and housing finance. The period has recorded over 10,000 housing units across 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory, alongside more than 2,700 kilometres of highways and major roads reported to be under construction, reconstruction or rehabilitation.
Beyond individual projects, these developments form part of a broader national effort to improve connectivity, expand housing opportunities, strengthen communities and support economic activity across different regions of Nigeria.
This special development spotlight documents some of these projects and initiatives across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, highlighting progress in housing and infrastructure while recognising the importance of continued collaboration among government, developers, investors, financial institutions, professional bodies and other stakeholders.
As Nigeria continues its development journey, the focus remains not only on recognising progress already recorded, but also on encouraging greater investment, stronger partnerships and sustained development for the years ahead.
