Springbok star set to reach 100 Test caps this Saturday

Translate

In typical fashion without any fuss or fanfare, World Cup-winning centre Damian de Allende now only requires one more Test appearance to become the latest Springbok centurion.

The 34-year-old is almost certain to be named in the starting line-up when the Springboks reveal their team to face the All Blacks, and so there will be a very special personal milestone to be celebrated at Ellis Park this Saturday.

De Allende follows on from Kolisi and Willie le Roux, who both earned their 100th Test cap last year.

Meanwhile, Pieter-Steph du Toit is also set to feature for the Springboks this weekend, and will then only require one more cap to also achieve that remarkable milestone.

The Springboks will hold their team announcement on Thursday for the first Test against the All Blacks.
