President William Ruto has defended his “Usawa ni Sawa” campaign, saying his administration is committed to ensuring that development reaches every part of the country without discrimination.
Ruto said the government was investing in roads, electricity connections, markets, education and healthcare across Kenya, arguing that all communities should benefit from national development projects.
“We are saying Usawa ni Sawa because the roads we are building here are being built in every part of Kenya, electricity is being connected everywhere, markets like this are being built across Kenya, our children are being educated everywhere, and healthcare is progressing in every part of Kenya,” he said.
The president said his administration was opposed to politics driven by hatred, tribalism, discrimination and jealousy, insisting that the country needed an approach that promoted unity while delivering development.
“We have said we do not want politics of hatred, tribalism, discrimination or jealousy, but politics that unites our nation and delivers development everywhere, because unity is strength,” Ruto added.
The remarks reflect the president’s emphasis on equitable development and national unity, with his administration presenting the “Usawa ni Sawa” message as a call for all parts of Kenya to benefit from government projects and services.
