Emmys 2026: Noah Kahan Drops a Major Hint About His Next Music

Translate

The “Stick Season” singer teased his latest musical opportunity, although he was careful not to reveal too many details while on the red carpet at the 2026 Emmy Awards.

“I can't tell you any more, really, but yeah, we've got something. I got that thing on me right now,” Kahan exclusively revealed to Keltie Knight during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys Sept. 14. “I got something in the works.”

However, the 29-year-old—who looked dapper in a black tuxedo with a brooch—couldn’t share much more, joking that his publicist would “throw me into the trash can over there.” (See all the red carpet fashion here.)

“But very excited about what we have,” he added, “and it was a really cool opportunity.”

So while fans wait to see what kind of musical moment they can expect from the Grammy nominee, they can look forward to seeing him take the stage at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles during the Mariska Hargitay-hosted Emmys, performing “Bridge over Troubled Water” during the in memoriam.

“I think it's a perfect song to encapsulate the hope that comes with so many of the people that we lost this year,” Kahan shared. “The bright lights we've lost: Dolly [Parton], Catherine [O’Hara], so many incredible artists.”

“I think the song speaks to the hope and love that they brought to the world,” he continued. “And I'm going to try to kind of give some of that back with a song tonight.”

The performance helps cap off an epic year for the “Orbiter” singer, who is also preparing for his 30th birthday on Jan. 1. And according to Kahan, he literally cannot wait to say goodbye to his 20s.

“I just want to get it over with,” he admitted. “Hangovers last five days. I gain 11 pounds every time I eat a f--king french fry. I would love to just get to 30, where it all feels like I'm old now instead of this fake young thing I'm going with right now.”

“I look 40,” Kahan exclaimed. “I might as well be 30.”
