Wallaroos storm back in second half to blow away Scotland in WXV series

Australia came from behind to beat Scotland 30-10 in their WXV Global Series clash after a dominant second-half display in Edinburgh.

Scotland, who lost their opening two fixtures against Canada and New Zealand, had taken a 10-5 lead into half-time at Hive Stadium after an early converted try from Evie Gallagher, with Helen Nelson adding a penalty after Desiree Miller touched down in the corner for Australia.

The Wallaroos, previously beaten by England and then France, fought back to go in front at the start of the second half when the scrum-half Samantha Wood dived over, before Brianna Hoy and Faitala Moleka both touched down twice in three minutes.

Wood slotted over two more penalties to cap an impressive turnaround and consign Scotland to a third consecutive defeat, with the sides set to meet again for two games in Australia next month.
