Exclusive: Strictly's Kai Widdrington shares crucial Delta Goodrem update

Strictly Come Dancing pro Kai Widdrington has revealed that he and his partner Delta Goodrem will be dancing "a little bit slower" this coming weekend.
The Australian singer was forced to miss out on performing this past weekend due to a rib injury, but Kai has now confirmed that she is back in rehearsals.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy at the 2026 Pride of Britain Awards on Monday (19 October), Kai revealed: "We're happy to be back training and looking forward to the weekend.
"She had a little injury, but she's all good. She's back, she's training, her head is in the right place, and yeah, we're just training like we would any other weekend to get back to get ready for Saturday."

After stating that he's "really, really happy" to be partnered with Delta, Kai said: "I think people felt that she wasn't there last week. You know, she's she's got such an amazing energy about her, and especially the week before when we did the performance that we did.
"I think people missed that last week, but we're going to be back fighting this week, and I'm sure we're going to deliver a really good performance."
When asked if he could confirm what they're going to be dancing, Kai replied: "I can't tell you yet [but] it will be something a little bit slower.
"We're easing back into it, but yeah, as Delta would say to me, 'It always has to be iconic'. So I will endeavour to choreograph something that will be iconic for the British public to enjoy."

Speaking about this year's line-up, Kai said: "Loving it, loving it. I think it's a fantastic place to be. I feel like one of the luckiest guys in the world to be able to get to work on that TV show, especially coming from Britain as an English guy, I still can't believe that I'm on the show, it's such an amazing feeling."
