Taylor Swift Calls Out Jason Kelce After His Early Morning Call Wakes Up Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce thought something had gone wrong when his phone rang at 7:30 a.m. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had not opened his eyes completely woken up when his brother, Jason Kelce, called him, leaving him worried that the retired NFL star might have hurt himself during a workout. But Jason had a much easier request, one that had Travis laughing and Taylor Swift questioning his brother-in-law's timing. The incident came during Jason's “Squatober” fitness challenge and became a funny family story on the brothers' New Heights podcast.

Why Taylor Swift was upset with Jason Kelce

Jason had been working on his fitness routine and even brought extra weights with him when he visited Travis in Kansas City. The retired Philadelphia Eagles center flew in with two 25-pound plates after asking his younger brother how much weight he had at home.

Travis found the decision hilarious, describing it as “the most meathead thing I think I've ever seen Jason do.” However, the workout plans took an unexpected turn when the early morning call interrupted his sleep.

“I get a call at 7:30 in the morning. In my mind, I'm thinking worst-case scenario,” Kelce said. “I'm like, ‘Oh, s---. Is everything okay? Maybe after the run Jason's in the hospital, he blew his knee out or something.' I dunno, I was worst-case scenario, the brain was just waking up. I was like, ‘Uhh, you okay?' ” 

 But Jason asked him to come downstairs and spot him during a bench press session. Travis agreed to help, even though he was wearing an ankle wrap. He explained that he would have struggled to save his brother during a back squat, but the bench press sounded manageable.

Taylor, however, did not share her enthusiasm. As Travis headed out of the room, she told him, “This is f---ed up.” Her husband brushed off the complaint, insisting that everything would be fine, while the brothers laughed about the conversation.

The visit also brought Jason to Arrowhead Stadium, where he joined the crowd supporting Travis and the Chiefs against the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18.

Kansas City won 22-6, extending its unbeaten start to five games. Travis finished with four catches for 53 yards as the Chiefs secured another victory at home.

Jason also attended a New Heights tailgate before kickoff. He confirmed that he and Swift were both at the stadium that weekend, describing the gathering as a blast.

Swift had travelled to Kansas City after attending the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17. She watched the game alongside her friends, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and HAIM musician Este Haim.
