‘South Park’ exterminates tech billionaires with pest control in latest episode

Tonight’s (Wednesday September 30) episode of South Park (now known as South America) will feature tech billionaires exterminated by pest control, according to a new promo for the show.

The long-running cartoon satire, which recently renamed itself South America as a jab at US President Donald Trump, released the teaser trailer for its forthcoming episode, the sixth of its 29th season. In it, the character of Butters is frustrated by AI data centres opening neat his house, and resorts to pest control in order to get rid of the billionaires behind them.

In the clip, which you can watch below, Butters is shown answering the door to a Pest Control worker, who says: “I understand you’ve got some billionaires in your backyard,” he says. The child replies: “Yeah, I swear there’s more of these stupid billionaires every day!”

The episode airs tonight on Comedy Central in the US, with UK viewers able to catch new episodes on Paramount+.

South Park/America has made the Trump administration the target of many of its jokes in recent seasons, depicting the President  in a relationship with Satan, having a micro penis, and having sex with Vice President J.D. Vance. The White House hit back at the jokes, arguing that the cartoon “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years”. 

The latest episode speaks to a growing distrust of the rise of AI, particularly in the entertainment industry. Backrooms director Kane Parsons, Guillermo Del Toro, and Pope Leo XIV all condemned the use of the technology. Conversely, Martin Scorsese, Neill Blomkamp, Brad Pitt, and Jodie Foster have all endorsed or used AI in their forthcoming projects, receiving criticism from some quarters for their support.

Recently, AI “actor” Tilly Norwood created confusion during an interview with Piers Morgan, when the computer simulation began speaking in Cantonese for no apparent reason.
