Dolly Parton, one of the biggest icons in the music industry, is going to receive the Artist Humanitarian Award at next year’s Country Radio Seminar. As a way of honoring her legacy and her contribution to the entertainment and music industry.Dolly Parton to receive the Artist Humanitarian AwardThe Country Radio Broadcasters announced that Dolly Parton will be honored at the upcoming 2027 Country Radio Seminar. The event is slated to take place from March 17 to March 19. According to Billboard, Parton had already been informed that she had been selected as the recipient of the award prior to her demise on August 25 this year.The award was established in 1990, and a lot of icons in the entertainment industry have received the award before Parton, including names like Jelly Roll, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, and Carrie Underwood.

The award was made specifically to honor country singers whose philanthropic efforts were quite impactful.The executive director of CRS, RJ Curtis, issued a statement about this year’s award and the decision to honor Parton. He shared, “The word ‘humanitarian’ is nearly synonymous with Dolly Parton. Her decades of generosity and philanthropy speak for themselves, and CRB was honored when Dolly agreed to accept this recognition earlier this year.

Though she won’t be with us in person at CRS, her extraordinary spirit and enduring commitment to making the world a better place will continue to inspire us all.

”Over the years, Parton had come to be known for her philanthropic efforts and the kinds of initiatives she started and funded for the community. Some of the other awards of recognition that the singer and actress had received over the years include the Gary Haber Lifting Lives Award in 2016 from the Academy of Country Music, MusiCares Person of the Year in 2019, and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences late last year.
