Ben Affleck reveals co-parenting schedule with Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may have called it quits on their marriage, but the two share quite the co-parenting routine.Speaking to Variety while promoting his next film 'Animals', Affleck described his current life as relatively low-key, saying, "You know, I have nothing salacious or all that interesting in my life.

I work hard, and then I go home and pick up the kids from school."

In the interview, he went on to explain how he and Garner share custody of their children. “We have dinner if they agree to hang out with me. They’re with me for a week, then with their mom for a week. They have a great thing with their mom, for whom I’m also really, really grateful. I know things will come up that are hard, and I don’t want to jinx that, but this time in my life as a human being is really wonderful.”Affleck and Garner share three children - Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 14. Despite divorcing, the former couple have maintained an amicable relationship and have continued to spend time together for family occasions and important milestones involving their children.“I’m divorced, I have shared custody, and I don’t want to miss these years,” Affleck said.“My kids are here, and their life is flying by,” he continued.

“I don’t want to have to be in Shreveport or New Mexico in order to work.”

While Affleck and Garner chose not to reunite professionally for 'Animals', the actor has not ruled out working with his ex-wife and former co-star in the future.The actor famously revealed that he originally envisioned Garner and his longtime friend and frequent collaborator Matt Damon as his leading stars in the Netflix political thriller.

However, after Damon dropped out to work on Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey', Affleck stepped into the lead role himself.Garner was ultimately not cast opposite Affleck as the couple reportedly felt that playing a troubled married couple on screen could bring too much personal 'baggage' into the project.Kerry Washington was eventually cast as Affleck's wife in the film.
