Egypt on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, strongly condemned missile and drone attacks targeting the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, which injured dozens of civilians, including women and children.

In a statement, the foreign ministry expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and affirmed its support for the Kingdom in confronting any threats to its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Egypt also reiterated its categorical rejection of attacks against civilians and civilian facilities, stressing that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Egypt’s and the Arab world’s national security.
