Mahira Khan announces second pregnancy at 41, actress already has a 17-year old son

Amid her packed schedule at the Toronto International Film Festival 2026, Mahira Khan had another piece of news to share. The Pakistani actor took to social media to reveal that she is expecting her second child, posting a picture that put her baby bump in the spotlight.Mahira shared a photograph of herself dressed in a flowing white gown, gently resting one hand on her baby bump. Keeping the announcement understated, she wrote, “We make plans and then there is ALLAH’S plan," hinting at the new chapter in her life.The actor kept her look simple for the picture, opting for a full-sleeved, loose-fitting white gown, minimal styling and natural makeup. The relaxed photograph was soon flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and well-wishers.The pregnancy announcement comes during a significant week for Mahira, who has been attending the Toronto International Film Festival 2026, where she participated in the festival’s Community Impact programming and was also honoured for her contribution to cinema.This will be Mahira’s second child and her first with businessman Salim Karim, whom she married in October 2023. The couple tied the knot nearly three years before Mahira announced her pregnancy.

Mahira is already a mother to her 17-year-old son, Azlan, from her first marriage to Ali Askari. Azlan also played a special role in her second wedding, walking his mother down the aisle when she married Karim in 2023.Mahira made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2016 film ‘Raees’.
