Done Deal: Azeez Joins Brighton On Four-Year Contract

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Nigeria international Femi Azeez from Millwall for an undisclosed fee, Completesports.com reports.

Azeez has signed a four-year contract with the Seagulls after completing his move from the Sky Bet Championship club.

Brighton sporting director Mike Cave expressed his delight at securing the services of the highly-rated winger.

“We are delighted to add Femi to the squad. He arrives off the back of an excellent season with Millwall, having played a key role for them as they finished in the playoffs,” Cave told the club’s official website.

“He was one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Championship, and we’re delighted to have finally agreed his transfer. We are now looking forward to working with him.”

Remarkable Rise To Premier League

Azeez enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign and was named in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season.

The 25-year-old made 77 appearances for Millwall across all competitions, registering 15 goals and 13 assists.

His move to Brighton completes a remarkable rise through the English football pyramid to the Premier League.

After spending time in Watford’s youth system, Azeez dropped into non-league football with Northwood before later featuring for Wealdstone and Hanwell Town.

He joined Reading in 2019 and continued his development before securing a move to Millwall in 2024.

Impressive Super Eagles Debut

Azeez has also made an impressive start to his international career with Nigeria.

The winger scored twice on his Super Eagles debut against Zimbabwe’s Warriors in May , further underlining his growing reputation.
