Otokhine Gregory plans big for Edo nightlife
The Chief Executive Officer of The Patio Restaurant and Lounge, Otokhine Gregory, is seeking to establish the business as a recognised hospitality brand in Edo State as the Benin City food, nightlife and entertainment scene continues to evolve.
Gregory, who has spent the past year developing the restaurant and lounge, is set to mark the business’s first anniversary on November 7, with rapper, Blaqbonez, billed to perform at the celebration.
A statement shared with Society Plus noted that The Patio, located in the GRA area of Benin City, combines dining, nightlife and entertainment, with a focus on customer experience.
Gregory’s career spans different sectors, having worked with Service Pharmaceutical Company Limited before venturing into the automobile business through Otos Autos. These experiences preceded his move into hospitality and contributed to his exposure to business operations, customer relations and commercial decision-making.
His current business interests include hospitality, nightlife and real estate, areas he sees as offering opportunities to develop lifestyle-oriented destinations.

Beyond food and drinks, The Patio seeks to attract customers through its atmosphere, entertainment offerings and service. The business has also developed associations with international beverage brands, including Glenfiddich, Martell and Hennessy.
As the establishment approaches its first anniversary, the milestone offers an opportunity to assess its progress and ambitions in a competitive hospitality market where customer experience, brand identity and entertainment increasingly shape consumer choices.
The statement added that Gregory’s broader ambition is to contribute to the development of fine dining and nightlife in Edo State, while positioning The Patio as a destination for customers seeking food, entertainment and social experiences in Benin City.
With the anniversary celebration approaching, the hospitality entrepreneur is looking to build on the business’s first year and strengthen its identity in Edo State’s growing lifestyle and entertainment scene.
