The Greatest Showman is officially coming to London in 2027 with West End legend at the helm

The Greatest Showman Musical has finally confirmed its West End premiere at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2027.

The Disney musical will be heading for London next spring after making its debut at the Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year.

Based on the hit 2017 film starring Hugh Jackman, the musical follows PT Barnum's journey from American businessman to pioneer of the circus, with hit songs like Rewrite the Stars, A Million Dreams and This is Me.

Principal casting has already been confirmed, with West End legend Samantha Barks set to star as Barnum's wife Charity.

Barks shot to fame after appearing on the 2008 talent series I'd Do Anything alongside Jessie Buckley, she then went on to star as Eponine in the cinematic version of Les Misérables and became the first Elsa in the original Broadway run of Frozen.

Prolific theatre actor Oliver Tompsett will be starring as PT Barnum. Tompsett originated leading roles in multiple West End productions, including Drew Boley in Rock of Ages and William Shakespeare in & Juliet.

Also announced are Ben Joyce as Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch as Jenny Lind and Malinda Parris as Lettie Lutz.

This new adaptation is being produced by Disney Theatrical Group, who have a longstanding partnership with Theatre Royal Drury Lane. This production will be moving in after Hercules's departure this September.
