5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Jodie is finally caught out

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday's episode (5 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, the walls are finally closing in on Jodie as two characters confront her about her secret agenda.

Meanwhile, Sally makes a decision about Lucy's future, and Summer hears some home truths about her new boyfriend Marco.

1. Doug raises the alarm about Jodie

Deeply concerned after looking through Jodie's trinket box and investigating her strange behaviour, Doug tries to warn the Platts that she's clearly trying to steal Shona's life. Bingo!

As the family are aware that Doug is off his medication, his claims are met with immediate scepticism. Can he fight back against Jodie's attempts to discredit him?

2. Doug is taken away to receive help

Jodie decides to call Doug's mental health team, exaggerating the situation as she makes him out to be a danger to the Platt family.

Doug agrees to undergo treatment, but issues a warning about Jodie before he's taken away, as he insists that Shona should watch her back. Has he done enough to cast suspicion in Jodie's direction?

3. Jodie is caught red-handed

Bethany is intrigued when Shona mentions that she's questioning her own sanity, as she keeps hearing Harper crying when the baby isn't even around.

Later, the truth becomes clear to Bethany as she walks in on Jodie secretly recording Harper's cries. Is it game over for Jodie, or can she work her way out of this with a plan to keep Bethany quiet?

4. Christina defies Sally's wishes

In the café, Christina enjoys getting to know Lucy, who's bunking off school. Sally is outraged when she catches them together – not only is Christina ignoring her recent warnings to stay away, she's also proving to be a bad influence on the youngster.

After sending Lucy off to school, Sally holds out an olive branch as she promises Christina that she'll speak to social services about their situation and let them decide the best option. Will Christina keep her distance in the meantime?

5. Summer's new boyfriend is in trouble

Summer is stunned when she learns that Marco has been involved in a car accident. At the hospital, PC Jess Heywood points out that Marco only has himself to blame, as he was the getaway driver in a robbery plan!

It seems that Summer would be better off keeping away from Marco, but she's oddly defensive when it comes to his crimes…
