KUALA PILAH: Police will refer the investigation papers into the death of a 14-year-old male student at a school in the district to the Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) today.

District police chief Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said no decision had been made so far on whether to charge any suspect in court, and police were awaiting further instructions after the investigation papers were referred to the A-GC.

"As of now, no decision has been made on the date to charge the suspect in the case, which is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code following an incident at a school in Kuala Pilah last month," he said when contacted today.

Muhammad Idlan Fareeq Shahril was reported to have been found unconscious at about 8pm on Sept 25 at the hostel of a sports school in Kuala Pilah.

The victim was taken to Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital (HTAN), where he was pronounced dead.

Following the incident, two 16-year-old male teenagers, who were seniors of the victim, were detained to assist in the investigation, with police classifying the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The remand of the first suspect had been extended until tomorrow, while the second suspect's remand had been extended until Friday.
