Cynthia Nixon would take Olivia Rodrigo home for Christmas any time. In an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the Sex and the City actress raved about the pop star and the experience of guesting in her new holiday music video for “Take Me Home (4 Christmas).”

“She is the kindest, loveliest, most fun person,” Nixon began on the Thursday (Nov. 5) episode of the talk show when asked about her cameo. “I was very startled and thrilled to be invited.”

“I guess she is a big fan of not only Sex and the City, but Steve and Miranda in particular,” the Gilded Age star added, referencing her iconic character’s love story on the beloved New York City-based series.

Rodrigo has previously gushed about her love for SATC, particularly the romance between Nixon and David Eigenberg’s characters on the series. “It’s my favorite show,” she told Jimmy Fallon in May, revealing that “multiple songs” on her Billboard 200-topping album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love were inspired by Steve and Miranda’s relationship. “I think I watched every single episode maybe three times.”

Nixon’s appearance on WWHL came on the same day as the release of Rodrigo’s first holiday song, which dropped alongside the music video. As the Grammy winner fantasizes about her boyfriend — played by Saturday Night Live‘s Ben Marshall — showing her off to his family over the holidays, Nixon portrays his mom.

“The video for @oliviarodrigo’s ‘take me home (4 christmas)’ is out now!” Nixon wrote on Instagram after it dropped. “I had so much fun playing mom to the hilarious and adorable @benmarshallstyle and imagining what it would be like if the great Olivia Rodrigo showed up on our doorstep for Christmas!”

The actress added, “Thank you Olivia for bringing me into your festive wonderland for a day.”
