Authorities conducted surprise drug tests on Wednesday at the South and North Bus Terminals in Cebu City, according to the report of DYSS Super Radyo GMA.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region7 tested more than 160 drivers and conductors as part of preparations for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day or Kalag-Kalag 2026 in Cebu.

At the North Bus Terminal, one bus driver and two conductors tested positive, PDEA7 Director Joel Plaza said.

DYSS reported that the surprise drug test is part of Oplan Harabas to ensure the safety of the expected travelers to observe for Kalag-Kalag 2026.

Meanwhile, four drivers tested positive for suspected shabu at the South Bus Terminal.

Three are Taxi drivers while the fourth is a bus driver.

Those who test positive in the initial screening will undergo a confirmatory test at the PDEA7 laboratory. — BAP, GMA News
