Sheer devastation: '80 percent of Gazan infrastructure has been destroyed'

New images posted this week by Google Maps show the utter destruction in Gaza. It's been estimated that 61 tonnes of rubble need to be cleared – that's 20 times the amount of rubble generated in all wars across the world over the last 18 years.
Aid workers, meanwhile, face the tough task of clearing the ruins of war-torn Gaza, which are estimated to contain up to 10,000 bodies.
For Perspective, we're joined by Jean-François Corty, associate research fellow at IRIS, the Institute of International and Strategic Relations. He is also president of the NGO Médecins du monde.
Corty warns that "the majority of the population has no access to clean water". All the while, civilians in Gaza are suffering enormously from food insecurity, this as a health crisis quickly unfolds.
