Welterweight champion Islam Makhachev is chasing the longest winning streak in UFC history this weekend in a battle with challenger Ian Machado Garry in UFC 330. The Russian fighter lost just one UFC bout — all the way back in 2015 — before ascending to become one of the promotion’s all-time greats. He’s currently tied with Anderson Silva for the most consecutive UFC wins at 16.

But Ian Machado Garry is a worthy contender for Makhachev. The 28-year-old Irishman has also lost just one fight in his MMA career, although it came more recently in 2024 against Shavkat Rakhmonov.
