'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion' box office collection day 27: Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer sees a dip in collections; earns Rs 90 lakhs as film eyes Rs 600 crore milestone

'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion', starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead, witnessed a decline in box-office earnings on its 27th day in theatres. The thriller collected Rs 90 lakhs in India net on Wednesday, October 28, across 3,169 shows.

This marked a 28% drop from the previous day's collection of Rs 1.25 crore. Despite the drop, the film's domestic net collection has now reached an estimated Rs 372.10 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 445.66 crore.Overseas markets contributed Rs 15 lakhs on Wednesday, taking the film's cumulative overseas gross to Rs 131.90 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 577.56 crore.

Fourth-week collections show weekend growth

The film's daily figures indicate stronger audience activity over the weekend, followed by a slowdown during the working week.

Sunday delivered the highest collection among the six reported days. However, Wednesday's occupancy figures reflected subdued turnout across its Hindi 2D screenings.Overall occupancy stood at 8.64%. Morning shows recorded 7%, while afternoon screenings registered 8.50%. Evening shows performed comparatively better, with occupancy reaching 10.42%.'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion' collected Rs 245.50 crore in its opening week.

Its second-week earnings stood at Rs 87.50 crore, while the third week contributed Rs 28.85 crore. The latest figures indicate that its theatrical momentum has eased considerably compared with its opening days. The film has reportedly surpassed Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Again' and 'Tanhaji' to become the actor's highest-grossing film. Its remaining theatrical run could help it add to its worldwide total, although daily collections will be crucial.

Can Ajay Devgn's film reach Rs 600 crore?

With worldwide earnings at Rs 577.56 crore, the film needs another Rs 22.44 crore to cross the Rs 600 crore mark. The coming days will determine whether it can achieve the milestone as weekday business remains under pressure. The earlier box-office outlook suggested that the lack of a major Hindi release before 'Ramayana', scheduled for November 5, could give the thriller more time in cinemas. However, reaching the target will depend on its performance over the remaining theatrical run.

'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion' storyline

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the thriller follows Vijay Salgaonkar years after he manages to evade the law. His past returns to haunt him when Meera Deshmukh reappears, driven by revenge rather than a desire for justice. A powerful new Crime Branch officer also challenges Vijay's carefully constructed alibis and psychological defences.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
