Animal Crossing’s new Happy Room release is finally available, and fans of the series, or maybe only New Horizons, will want to check it out at the very least. At the moment, there’s no sign of a new entry in the series following 2020’s massive success with New Horizons for Nintendo Switch. There has been a fair share of rumors about the next Animal Crossing game, even though its position is currently being occupied by Pokémon Pokopia, which allows players to build their own homestead and interact with quirky and fun neighbors.
Even though there isn’t a successor to New Horizons on the horizon just yet, fans of the series may be able to keep themselves busy with the new Happy Room release in Western markets. According to a new report by Game Rant, the Happy Room miniature collection is now available to purchase outside of Japan, allowing fans to grab select miniatures of characters through a blind box product. This is the first iteration of the collection, as the next part of the series will debut in Japan in November.
The Animal Crossing: Happy Rooms set 2 will be released in Japan in November 2026, but the first set of collectibles can be purchased for $16.99 via online retailer Hamee. As was mentioned, Happy Rooms is a blind box product, meaning that it contains a randomly assorted miniature figure that is part of a collection. This collection has been available in Japan for quite some time, but now you can purchase it without even having to leave your home. In total, there are six different sets featuring different characters.
The list below highlights all six collectibles in Animal Crossing: Happy Room:
- Isabelle
- Timmy & Tommy
- Brewster
- Marshal
- Bob
- Whitney
Happy Room lets you collect the aforementioned characters, but also the rooms they are best known to populate. For example, the miniature of Isabelle comes with her office in Resident Services. The villagers from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, recreated with Happy Room, also come with a recreation of their home. Marshal, for instance, has her black-painted walls and signature piano, while Bob lives in a colorful puzzle-and-block-themed room. As mentioned, you can buy a randomly assorted box, or the full collection of six characters without the risk of duplicates.
The specific character and room you obtain are random with each blind box, but you can mix and match if you obtain different ones each time. This set will even interact with the new characters and rooms coming with Happy Room 2. The next collection will have some fan-favorite characters from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, like Tom Nook, Blathers, and Shino. The second set in the collection will be released in Japan, and there hasn’t been an announcement for its arrival in Western markets for now.
Of course, even the first Happy Room set is an import from Japan, so it may only be a matter of time before retailers like Hamee bring set 2 to Western markets. This is a cute little set of products that allows you to reminisce about New Horizons as you wait for the next big Animal Crossing game to be announced.
