Presidential decree approves legal status agreement for IFRC in Egypt

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued Presidential Decree No. 227 of 2026 approving an agreement on granting the legal status of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Egypt.

The agreement was signed between the Egyptian government and the IFRC on February 17, 2026.

The House of Representatives approved the decree during a session that took place on June 30, 2026.

The decree was published in the official gazette. (MENA)
