The Delhi Police has arrested six accused and detained two minors in connection with a Rs 75-lakh robbery.

According to the Delhi Police, the incident was reported in Ashok Vihar on August 19 at around 11:35 am. The victim, 54-year-old Neera Verma, was alone at home at the time.

Her husband had left for their factory around 9:00 am, while their twin daughters had left for their wholesale store in Delhi's Chawri Bazaar around 11:30 am.

A few minutes after the daughters left, two of the accused arrived and asked for water. Growing suspicious, the woman tried to close the gate, but they forcibly pushed it open and dragged her inside.

Police said the intruders tied her legs with a scarf and threatened her at knifepoint. Two additional accomplices then entered, bound her hands and feet with tape, and gagged her mouth.

They then ransacked the house for 25 minutes before fleeing with the cash, which the family had saved for their business and their daughters' weddings.

During the investigation, police revealed the suspects had been conducting surveillance on the house for over a month.

Delhi Police tracked down the accused using CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and informant tips.

Raids were conducted across Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Amritsar, leading to the arrests.

Police recovered Rs 2.40 lakh from Naman Sharma, Rs 22 lakh from Deepak, Rs 6.40 lakh from Dinesh, Rs 6 lakh from Ansh Sharma, and Rs 8.50 lakh from Sahil.

Additionally, from Aryan, who was arrested in Amritsar, police recovered Rs 5.5 lakh alongside an Apple iPhone 17 Pro valued at approximately Rs 1.37 lakh.

In total, Rs 51.52 lakh in cash and three mobile phones valued at approximately Rs 2.33 lakh have been recovered.
