Orlando Pirates looking to earn more than R100 million in the 2026/27 season

Translate

Orlando Pirates are competing in five different competitions in the 2026/27 season, looking to earn over R100 million.

A league, MTN8 and CAF Champions League triumph will see them make over R100 million in prize money this season.

In the last campaign, the Buccaneers claimed nearly R40 million from winning a treble. With an improved squad and the addition of youngsters to their squad, Abdeslam Ouaddou’s men can go further and win more trophies.

Pirates’ DDC side provided further evidence of the club’s strong youth development structure after being crowned champions.

That pipeline could prove particularly important for head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who has to balance domestic commitments with the demands of the CAF Champions League.

So far, the team has reached the semi-finals of the MTN8 and could claim their fifth consecutive title should they win the competition.

Pirates are competing across multiple competitions this season, making squad depth and the emergence of young players increasingly important.

The Buccaneers have already shown that they can combine experienced players with emerging talent, while their new signings have added further quality and balance to the squad.

With Orlando Pirates sitting at the summit and their DDC team continuing to produce players capable of stepping up, Ouaddou appears to have the foundations of a squad that can compete on both the domestic and continental stage.

The challenge now is maintaining that consistency throughout what promises to be a demanding season.
