Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has unveiled a 25-man squad for Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON qualifying double-header against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.

Several key players have been included in the squad, with captain Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon among the familiar faces called up by the Malian tactician.

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali also retains his place, while Ola Aina, Taiwo Awoniyi and Akor Adams have been handed invitations.

Chelle has also welcomed back Tochukwu Nnadi, Alhassan Yusuf and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru following their recovery from injuries. Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is another notable returnee to the squad.

Meanwhile, Slavia Prague midfielder Mubarak Suleiman has earned his first-ever call-up to the senior national team.

Nigeria will host Tanzania in their Matchday Three fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, November 13, before travelling to Dar es Salaam for the return encounter on Tuesday, November 17.

The Super Eagles currently occupy second place in Group L and will be keen to secure maximum points from both matches to strengthen their bid for qualification.

With only one ticket available from the group, Nigeria will need strong performances in both encounters to boost their chances of reaching the 2027 AFCON finals, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
