UCL: Barcelona Report PSG To UEFA After 4-2 Defeat

Translate

Barcelona have reported Paris Saint-Germain to UEFA for the tifo unfurled by the French club’s supporters before Tuesday’s Champions League game.

As the players came on to the pitch before kickoff, fans behind one of the goals at Parc des Princes held up a giant banner which showed a masked figure carrying a chainsaw and destroying the Barça badge, as reported by ESPN.

Underneath were the words: “Massacre, Parisian style.”

In addition, pyrotechnics were used to mimic the sparks coming from the chainsaw as it hacked away at the Barça crest.

The source said the imagery evoked was both “overly aggressive and offensive.”

Desiré Douré, Lucas Hernández, Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz were all on target as PSG made it three wins out of three in the Champions League this season.

For Barça, who twice levelled through Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal, it represented their first loss of the season, bringing an end to their 11-game winning streak.

Both teams have big games to come in their respective leagues this weekend.

PSG face Lyon in a top-of-the-table clash in Ligue 1, while Barça host rivals Real Madrid in the Clásico.
