The Syrian Civil Defense reported that three civilians – including a man, his wife, and his brother – were killed and six others including children were injured from an explosion inside a house in the village of Ain al-Qasab, near the city of Jisr al-Shughur in western Idlib countryside after midnight on Friday.

Sources told Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath channels that an explosion was heard in Jisr al-Shughur countryside, west of Idlib, indicating that the explosion was caused by war remnants.

The director of the Civil Defense center in Jisr al-Shughur, Ali al-Lari, told the Syrian News Channel that Civil Defense teams were continuing their operations at the scene of the incident.

Lari added that initial findings indicate the explosion was caused by fishing explosives found inside the house.

The medical director of Jisr al-Shughour Surgical Hospital, Mostafa Baghour, said that the hospital received the injured from the explosion site.

He explained that the casualties included the death of a 35-year-old man, along with six injuries, among them a 45-year-old woman, a young man with shrapnel wounds, and three children.

Baghour noted that two children were transferred to the neurosurgery department at the Idlib Surgical Clinics Hospital, while the third child was taken to the orthopedics department.

A man in his fifties is receiving treatment at the hospital for chest contusions.
