Coleen Rooney returns to work in first look at The Real Rooneys

Coleen Rooney has said “the nerves are setting in” as she returned to work in a new clip from her documentary series, The Real Rooneys.

Wayne and Coleen have invited cameras into their Cheshire mansion for the Disney+ show, which follows them raising their four boys: Kai, 16; Klay, 13; Kit, 10; and Cass, eight, and Coleen’s burgeoning media career.

In the clip, Coleen sits on the couch as a producer says to her: “So lets talk about you going back to work.”

She replies: “It’s nice just having time for me.”

Seconds later, one of her sons is heard saying “Mum!” off camera.

He calls her again and she says: “I’m in the lounge, I’m filming,” before apologising to the producer.

Off camera, her son is heard asking: “What’s for dinner?”

After telling him they will be having spaghetti bolognese, Coleen turns back to the producer and says: “Why didn’t he ask his dad first?”

The couple’s mansion is then shown, with Coleen saying: “This house is everything I’ve dreamed of.

“As a little girl, you draw a house with a door in the middle and the same on both sides.”

Coleen’s court case against Rebekah Vardy is referenced, as she returns to work with a range for Primark.

She says: “My priority has always been the kids. However, since the court case, it’s opened up a lot of doors.

“I’ve put my name to this range. The nerves are setting in.”

She is then seen filming an ad with former EastEnders star Danny Dyer before saying: “I’m not the only one whose life’s been turned on its head.”

News bulletins are played announcing Wayne’s sacking as manager of Plymouth Argyle.

Wayne is then interviewed by a producer who asks him: “Was it always part of the plan?”

He replies: “Well, yeah, we spoke about her doing more work, not about me getting sacked.”

The couple have been married since 2008 after starting a relationship in their teens.

Wayne retired from football in January 2021 at the age of 35 and now works as a TV pundit.

In 2024, Coleen appeared as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here where she finished in second place.
